Chest Heart Rate Monitor continued
So after a ~1HR ride yesterday I tested the IGPSport today while grinding coffee beans and as expected the HRM is still working :P
The Magene H64 is selling for ~Php900 which turns out to be a waste of money.
Better spend on the IGPSport which sells for Php1300. Recommended :)

Anyway, I just wanted to blog my experience on products that I ended up trying/ordering due in part to the pandemic.
Magene Dual-protocol Chest Heart Rate Monitor H64 Review
The one that really prompted me to blog is the Magene H64 dual-protocol chest heart rate sensor. I ordered this last January from lazada.ph after learning that my (Nokia) Sports Tracker HRM2 has died. Got it for only <Php1K.
I've used the Magene H64 for a couple of short rides (~30mins/each for about 5x) and it was working great. I was using it with the Wahoo app. The last time I was able to use it was a long ride of about an hour. After that I wasn't able to use it anymore. Googled the Net and found out other owners with same issue.
So please stay away from this unit. It's quite cheap but you'll get what you pay for.
And since the HRM2 is not working anymore, I opened it up to see what's inside and hoping I can still revive it. The casing has to go though since its all glued up and I don't have a heat gun that could loosen up the glued parts. As expected the unit was using a lithium polymer battery which died already. So I ordered the nearest replacement from lazada and hope to test and revive it soon and use it as backup.
